a couple of weeks ago I had the glorious idea to take family pictures, on our own, with the tripod and remote. yahhhhh i think the first picture shows quite well how that turned out and the second how logan felt about posing and sitting still, looking at the camera and of course: smiling.
we ended up with some quite hilarious out-takes so it was definitely worth it.
however, i guess i'll just have to suck it up and pay someone to take our picture next time.
are you a control freak like me? because i sure always feel like I just can't trust anyone else with my creative vision. like i'm the only creative person in the whole world, right? right! ;)
i am now taking recommendations for Pittsburgh area photographers.

I LOVE these....they are full of life, love and personality! :)
ReplyDeleteOf course I recommend One Way Street Production :) http://onewaystreetproduction.com/
ReplyDeletegreat pictures. my fave is the one of your baby being thrown up in the air and the second one of his cute little toes.
ReplyDeleteI actually LOVE the first photo. Real life is so much better than the picture perfect stuff :)
ReplyDeleteThose first two shots are priceless! :)
ReplyDeletefirst pic is amazing.
ReplyDeletelove that quilt! did you made it?
I think they came out great! What a good idea to use a tripod.
ReplyDeleteoh myyy you asked the right person ;) i LOVE vintage button photography (http://thevintagebuttonphotography.blogspot.com/). abby is a dear, dear friend of mine and took our wedding photos. she does a FANTASTIC job and is very creative. two of my other friends started one way street production (http://onewaystreetproduction.com/). the thing that's GREAT about them is that they are a husband+wife team so you have four eyes for the price of two and they really take their business seriously. if you're looking for an even better deal, check out rachel rowland photography (http://rachelrowland.com/). she's just getting started so i think she'd be the most reasonable out of the bunch, but she does a great job, too! i think you'd be very happy with all three, it just depends on your preferences. let me know if you decide to go with one of them!
ReplyDeleteHey! You know Michel and Heather?! If you scroll up I just suggested them too! They shot my wedding when they were first getting started with weddings! :D Such a small world! So cool! I absolutely loved them!
Deleteno, these are super cute! I especially love the one of you two kissing. so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteI think these turned out great! :)
ReplyDeleteI am in loveeeeee with the first photo! So adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I think it's nice to get professional shots done every year or so, but it's also nice to just do some quick family shots with the remote too. We've been trying to do it every Sunday after I realized how few pictures we have with the three of us, but Sunday is pretty much grubby clothes day at our house so the pics don't really capture us at our best!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is hilarious! Love it!
ReplyDeletethat first photo is awesome!! i have a friend who's a photographer in pittsburg. she's awesome. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sarah-Colligan-Photography/61945090792?fref=ts
