fall festivals

Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger, Cardigan: Forever21, Pants: ONLY, Boots: Don't remember ;)

Please ignore all the junk you see in the mirror right behind me. I obviously don't get around to cleaning much anymore.
These days I am glad if I get a shower in every 3 days ;) That is why this outfit post is such a special event (applause is in order). I cut out my head since my hair was only up in a ponytail anyway. If you have a baby you know that having your hair down is pretty much the worst idea you could have, unless you enjoy the pain of tiny little hands yanking on it.

I managed to leave the house to go to one of the fall festivals this weekend. My MIL came over to help out a little and we packed up the bubs and took him for a nice little stroll around the park to check out the arts&crafts vendors and get some food. We had fun and the little man was nice and tired that night.

What do you guys love to do in the fall when the weather is still nice?

The Missoni for Target Giveaway has just started so make sure you enter to win here :)

fall style inspiration

I put together one of my favorite styles for the fall right now.
I got the shirt from Target for only $8 and recently got some awesome boots from Timberland that are very similar to these.
Love the leather jacket but not the price tag... a girl can dream right?
I am a sucker for fossil bags just ask the hubby ;) so this would totally be on my list.
I am planning on looking for a similar beanie on Etsy.

What do you guys think? What are your faves for the fall?

First of all, I am not getting paid to tell you about GILT Groupe. I found a link on someone else's blog and just signed up.

I actually didn't even think I'd order anytime soon but then they had to offer this amazing discount on those Hunter Boots that I've had an eye on for a while... So I couldn't resist :)

Here is the link to GILT just in case you would like to get some of these lovelies for yourself. They had a ton of styles and colors but you gotta be fast before they sell out. The sales ends on the 17th. They also offer great discounts on other stuff for your home or kids.

Also, I am so excited to host an awesome giveaway soon...

Just a hint: I scored something amazing at Target for you all that is kinda hard to come around these days ;)

So make sure to check back for that.

Now get yourself some wellies, you know you want to :)

an irresistible laugh

So I haven't blogged in waaay too long and my sis-in-law who just recently discovered her love for blog reading demanded I write a new post :)

sis-in-law just got married in August :)

Well here it is sis :)

I don't wanna make any excuses but my priorities have been mostly with the little bean.
He keeps me busy all day and sometimes even during the night. I can't believe he is 3.5 months already. Time just flies. We have had the most incredible time with him and can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.

Since the hubs has been working all summer (2 more weeks, yay for the end of baseball season) I've been doing this mostly by myself and I have to say, hats off to you single moms out there!!! I can't wait to spend some real family time this off-season.

Little man doesn't care if mommy doesn't get to blog :) If I'm lucky he goes to sleep around 10pm, if I'm lucky... Trying to do anything on the computer with one hand is no fun so I've been neglecting my bloggy friends big time. I try to keep reading my favorites but it makes me want to keep up with my own blog even more.

No one tells you how much of yourself you give up once you have a child. Don't get me wrong. I am by no means complaining he is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I just truly didn't realize that I wouldn't be doing anything for myself except try to take a shower every 3 days. I know a lot of momma bloggers write their post in the early morning hours and I think that's awesome. However, if I don't get at least a few hours of continuous sleep I will lose my mind the next day and that's not really fair to the bean. I'm just one of those people that need more sleep than others to function properly. Always been that way.

How do you mommas out there get things done with a new baby?

We have been taking tons of pictures and videos and I decided to share one with you guys. If you're even still reading... Hopefully this little video will make up for some of my absence.

Baby laughs are the best :)

Enjoy...

the good stuff

I love mornings like this.

It is quiet all around the house. The puppies are still sleeping and so are the hubby and the little babe.

The day is starting off a little gray, rain is tapping on the roof and I can hear the water running down the gutters and downspouts. The roads are steaming from yesterday's heat.

I am not really much of a morning person but today I can't go back to sleep. I have to keep watching my two most precious :) They are lying right next to me in bed, one on the side and the little one in the middle all sprawled out and holding his daddy's wrist tightly.

These are the moments I have treasured most since becoming a mommy. The early morning stretches after I rescue him from the tight grip of the swaddle blanket. The many smiles I receive after he finishes nursing and his belly is full again. The closeness we share, the kind only we can experience.
Watching him lie there in just his diaper and the full glory of his chubbiness, staring at me - his mommy, as if I am the only person in the world that matters.

Then I look over at the grown man right next to him and I can't believe how lucky I am to have both of them in my life. And then I try to put my heart back in line just to keep it from bursting with all of the love I feel these days.

We are blessed, we are lucky to have a happy and healthy baby boy in our lives and a roof over our heads that protects us from this dreary day outside.

Every day I am thankful to be his mom.
Every day I am thankful to be his wife.

I am now going back to soaking it all up before the hustle of this Saturday begins... We have a wonderful wedding to attend... more love :)
