Yep, another outfit post today because yesterday was pretty boooooring overall. We went grocery shopping and to Target. Then I went back to Target because they had diapers on clearance and I left my coupons at home. Exciting, I know.

The little guy went to bed early so we watched Last Man Standing and Kim Kardashian was in it. Really? Then we watched the first hour of that new show The River and then Parenthood. The hubby passed out in the middle of that show...
We lead an exciting life these days ;)

{life} a trip to the zoo

The Zoo was a blast. Logan loved crawling through the tunnel and even got to pet a sting ray. The weather was perfect and the Zoo almost empty. The Gorillas were fascinating yet I couldn't help feel sad for them they looked so lonely and bored in there. Their human features were almost eerie.

Isn't this weather just wonderful lately? At least here in Pittsburgh it's been almost like Spring come early. I guess it's supposed to get cold starting on Wednesday but maybe if I just don't believe it, it's not gonna happen???

We went to the Zoo today and had a blast. There were barely any people there so it was a total no stress outing for us. I'll be posting some pictures later today.

I also wanted to take the time and say thanks to the ones of you who have started re-following me at my new home here. I appreciate all of your comments and feedback :)

As for this outfit. It's one of my faves because it's so comfortable. I absolutely adore the Chloe flats and the Prada quilted purse with the chain is such a classic and goes with mostly anything. I love having pieces like these that never seem to go out of style.

{Life} over the weekend

Our weekend was busy but it was a good one. We spent lots of family time together.
My MIL stayed here Friday night into Saturday morning and helped out a ton. We FaceTimed with Daddy. Then Saturday morning, even though the weather was gray, cold and snowy, I bundled up the little man and we picked up the hubs from the airport. Afterwards we went to the South Side Works in the Burgh for the I made it Mine! Handmade market, some shopping (vintage sheets galore for the shop) and a "German" lunch at Hofbräu Haus. Logan got lots of attention from the ladies ;) Saturday night we relaxed on the couch by a cozy fire, with a cupa tea.
Sunday was cleaning and cooking day thanks to a super well behaved babe and we had a few friends and family members over for the Super Bowl. My closet got a little cleaning (it's still bad), I managed to cut my bangs :) and paint my nails. Fresh sheets on the bed. I made chocolate dipped peanut butter pretzels, buffalo chicken dip, bbq sausages and cabbage&noodles. I think I never sat down for a minute that day and we fell into bed with full bellies and were out in a sec.

Today is another beautiful day so we're going to the Zoo.

I am totally in love with this outfit. It's super comfy but not boring. I love my sweats but this is pretty close on the comfort level. Maybe not the heels.

Look at those heels though - super cute peep toes. These will make for one awkward tan if you wear them in the sun for too long ;) 

On my mommy-do-list today:

• buy baby food and make my own (again) feels like I just made a batch...
• change the sheets on the bed (don't ask how long it's been)
• list some new Etsy goodness here
• lather myself up in some coconut oil (thank you UPS guy for not delivering to the wrong house again)
• prepare to make some delicious food for Super Bowl Sunday (Steelers all the way, Giants on Sunday) 

We are going to this tomorrow. Should be fun :)

Two long naps today for the little guy. TWO!!! One 2.5 hours and one 1.5 hours. This only happens like once every two weeks. Needless to say this momma had a productive day :)
I am trying not to think about whether he will sleep through the night and just be happy I got some me time today :)  Don't you mommas out there love it when you get to feel somewhat balanced in your day?

Oh and how about this lovely lace shirt? It's so romantic with the lace detail and would look totally awesome on a Valentine's date. I don't know if we are getting a date night this year but I sure hope so.
I want to go see that movie The Vow or maybe Man on a ledge???

I am off to find a babysitter...

{Life} Sunshiny Day

Let me introduce you to the love of my life :)

Today we had 60 degree, sunshiny feel good weather and so we went on a nice long stroll and took a load of pictures of this handsome little man. He's the kind of babe you just wanna squeeze all day. He's got a few good cheeks for squeezing too, if you know what I mean.
After the stroll we got some Chinese food for lunch, visited the Great Grandpa and had yummy Sonic Happy Hour slushes for dessert.
A pretty great day overall.

On a different note, I am loving this Revlon Lipstick in Coral so much I wanna put it on everyday. It's super creamy and stays on forever. The bright red is so cheery putting it on is an instant mood lifter.
I bet people think it's maybe a little too much for a stroll with the family but hey, it makes me feel put together and pretty which isn't necessarily an everyday occurrence with an 8 month old.
So mommas go rock that red on your lips!
